Darren Almond- Moonlight magic

Nocturne

Fullmoonbow

Full Moon at Fukushima

Darren Almond is another unique landscape photographer. He specializes in using moonlight. The first is Nocturne which features the rich color, patches of misty moonlight and eerie shadows. I think the moonlight is the subject as much as the trees and land formations that it illuminates.

In the second photo he captures a Full Moonbow at a large waterfall which is beautiful on it's own and almost looks like a painting.

The third is a dark forest near a grotto probably near the ocean in Japan. The lighting in the picture creates and natural black and white image. It feels like the location for a horror movie. The eye is draw to a little cave in the distance which begs one to ask "what's in there."
